Seepje only uses the best natural ingredients and together we pay a fair price for these. Our main ingredient is the shell of the Himalayan Sapindus fruit, which contains a natural soap called saponine. An extract of these amazing shells forms 80% of our liquid detergent and dishwashing detergent and 90% of our all-purpose cleaner. We produce this extract at our headquarters in The Hague by a boil and filtration process. The other ingredients we add either improve the detergency or contribute to the delightful scent. We are completely transparent about which additional ingredients we use!
Three aspects are of utmost importance when choosing ingredients for Seepje: origin, health effects on all involved and the impact on the environment when the ingredient flows from your washing machine into the sewage system. That’s why we only use plant and mineral based ingredients, and NO oil based ingredients. These ingredients have to be safe to use as skin products and they must be environment-friendly. All ingredients used in Seepje products are 100% biodegradable, or in case of the mineral substances, harmless when they flow into the environment. As we insist on transparency, we show exactly which ingredients we use and why!
